Overview
Geometry 1B builds on foundational geometry concepts with an emphasis on polygons, similarity, trigonometry, circles, area, volume, and probability. Students explore the properties of quadrilaterals and other polygons, use similarity and proportional reasoning, and apply right-triangle trigonometry, including sine, cosine, and tangent. The course also covers the properties and measurements of circles, areas and volumes of two- and three-dimensional figures, and fundamental concepts of probability, permutations, and combinations.
